The Charles City Community Fund’s Fifth Annual Full Moon 5K will be held Friday, April 25, starting and finishing at Tellurian Brewing.
A Kids Fun Run for ages 8 and younger will begin at 7:30 p.m, followed by the Full Moon 5K beginning at 8 p.m.
Again this year the Community Fund reached out to Charles City High School arts students for help designing the run’s shirt logo, and Tristin Botkin’s design was selected as the winner.
Botkin is a junior and the son of Wendy and Lindsey Botkin.
“I really enjoy art and science, and I enjoyed making this design,” Tristin Botkin said.
Tracy Walker, Charles City Community Fund co-president, said, “The CCCF is again thankful to the Charles City High School art students in Tia McInroy’s class that submitted designs.
“As always, there were so many great designs to choose from,” Walker said. “We love the opportunity to see the creativity of the students!”
Registrations for the run can be made online at Runsignup.com/Race/IA/CharlesCity/FullMoon5KIA, or by contacting Charlescitycommunityfund@gmail.com
