Doris Mae Welch

Doris Mae Welch of Mount Prospect was born Aug. 2, 1934 in Ionia to August and Hazel (nee Crooks) Hartmann. She died July 8, 2016 at Alden Courts in Des Plaines.

Doris was a broker/owner of Candid Reality in Wood Dale.

She was an avid baker, gardener and loved her dog Bailey.

Doris is survived by her children, James (Pamela) Welch, Judith (Arnie) Davis, Michael (Eleanor) Welch, Michele (Greg) Vitaioli and Jennifer Welch; her Grandchildren, Lorin, Lindsay, Molly, Melinda, Melissa, Ryan, Stephanie, Scott, Gregory, Natalie, Angelo, Morgan and Rebecca.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, James Joseph Welch; her son John (Val) Welch; her Grandson Michael; her siblings Robert and Dorothy; and her parents.

Visitation was held Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (four blocks South of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment was private.
