His grandparents, Dianne and Randy Boggess and Mike and Linda Selvig, held a special place in his heart, as did his cousins, Emma, Kaylee, Thomas, AJ, Alyssa, Dominick, Chantelle and Destinee, along with their families. Seth’s life was a tapestry woven with the threads of many friendships and the affection of his extended family.

Seth was a proud graduate of Burnet High School’s class of 2020 in Burnet, Texas. His passion for technology led him to North Iowa Area Community College, where he pursued a degree in computer science.

Seth’s interests were as vibrant and engaging as his personality. His interest in computers began at an early age, sitting in his grandpa Randy’s lap in front of a computer monitor. An avid gamer, he found joy and camaraderie in the virtual worlds of Halo and Call of Duty. In no time at all he was trouncing enemy teams. He spent much of his childhood humbling even full grown adults in the Halo servers. His skills extended to Rocket League and the creative realms of Minecraft. A testament to his talent and ingenuity, Seth built his own computer, a project that combined his love for technology with a hands-on approach to his hobbies.

Weekend fishing trips with his father and others with his grandpa Mike were among Seth’s most cherished childhood memories. These tranquil moments by the water were a source of peace and a treasured tradition that he carried with him through the years.

To know Seth was to know laughter and intrigue. He was funny, with a quick wit that could light up any room. His interesting conversations and unique perspectives were a gift to all who engaged with him, leaving a lasting impression that will not be forgotten.

Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 4, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 705 3rd Ave., Charles City, with Erik Hoefer officiating. Visitation will begin at noon, with the funeral at 1 p.m. and meal to follow.
