Edith R. Nolt

Edith R. Nolt, 56, of Orchard, IA, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., at Cedar Valley Mennonite Church, Orchard IA, with Bishop Carl Hoover officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, from 1-4 p.m., at the residence of Harold Martin, 420 Brossman Road, Ephrata, PA. An additional viewing will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at the residence of Daniel Zimmerman, 3110 Shadow Avenue, Orchard, IA. Kindly omit flowers.

Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Harvey H. and Ella E. Zimmerman. Edith was a homemaker and the wife of the late Harry Nolt, who passed away in 2015.

Edith was a member of Cedar Valley Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

She is survived by four children, Carla, wife of Glen David Martin of Lewisburg, PA, Cloyd, husband of Bernice Nolt of Orchard, IA, Carl, husband of Pamela Nolt of Orchard, IA, Christian Nolt of Orchard, IA; two brothers, Edwin, husband of Marlene Zimmerman of Orchard, IA, Erwin, husband of Norma Zimmerman of Ephrata; five sisters, Anna, wife of Ivan Nolt of Orchard, IA, Erma, wife of Larry Rissler of Leola, Ella, wife of Jesse Martin of Lititz, Evla, wife of Harold Martin of Ephrata and Erla, wife of Aaron Hoover of Lititz.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Zimmerman.

The family wished to express thanks for all the prayers, support, and assistance offered during Edith’s journey with Alzheimer’s.
