Revitalized Santa House set to open for the season

To the Press

Get your wish lists ready kids because Santa Claus is coming to town on Friday, Dec. 4. The jolly old man in the red suit will arrive during the annual Holiday Lighted Parade at 6 p.m. that night, then be available to visit with children immediately after the parade at the Santa House in Central Park.

The Santa House will also be open the next three Saturdays, Dec. 5, 12 and 19, from 10 a.m. to noon, as well as on Sunday, Dec. 20, from 2-4 p.m. There is no cost to visit the Santa House and treats will be handed out courtesy of sponsors First Citizens National Bank, First Security Bank & Trust, CUSB Bank, Andy and Trinity Laube, and State Bank.

Situated at the corner of North Main and Blunt Street in Central Park, the Santa House is provided courtesy of the Charles City Area Chamber of Commerce. The building was recently repaired, reinforced and re-painted thanks to the Charles City Rotary Club, Sherwin-Williams and local artist Robin Macomber.
