Milton E. Grandy, 85, of Nashua, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 10, 2015 at the Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home – Olson Chapel in Nashua with Rev. Bill Nielsen presiding.

Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Nashua, with Lane Jacobs, Trent Jacobs, Stuart Jacobs, Lantz, Terrill, Brian Runge and Scott Schmidt serving as pallbearers.

Visitation continues at the Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home – Olson Chapel in Nashua an hour prior to the service. Online condolences for Milton’s family may be left at hugebackfuneralhome.com Milton Eugene Grandy was born Aug. 9, 1930, in rural Floyd County, the son of Glen and Velma (Otto) Grandy. He received his education in rural country schools in both Floyd and Butler Counties and then attended high school in Plainfield. Milton initially farmed and then worked for several years between the Lumley Implement Co., the Wagner Blacksmith Shop and the Boveia Construction and Excavating, all in Nashua. He subsequently opened and operated a tractor repair shop in Nashua for over twenty years. Milton enjoyed watching his nieces and nephews, going to area races and football on TV.

He was very inclined mechanically and loved to look at ‘oldtime’ machinery.

Survivors include his siblings, Richard (Alice) Grandy of Nashua, Marlys (Merrill) Jacobs of Waukon, Alvin (Arlyce) Schroeder of Denver; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
