Raymond D. Kellogg

Turlock, Calif. resident Raymond D. Kellogg passed away at home on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015.

He was born April 14, 1953 in Charles City to Wendell and Alaine Kellogg. He grew up in Iowa and enlisted in the United States Navy after high school. After completing his service, Ray moved to California. He was a dedicated, hard-worker and operated forklifts for Sunnyside Farms for over 30 years.

After separating from his wife, Rosemary, Ray found his soulmate in Amanda Gurrola. They moved in together after a brief courtship and had been together ever since. Ray loved to collect pocket knives. Though he did not have many hobbies, he truly cherished spending time, comfortably at home, with his family, friends, and loved ones. He especially enjoyed watching UFC and football games on TV, and sleeping.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Alaine.

He is survived by his common-law wife Amanda Gurrola; his daughter, Heather Seal; two grandchildren; siblings, Bob, Carol and Jean; and close friends, Kevin, Joseph, and brother-in-law Hector Gurrola. He is also survived by his many friends and co-workers at Sunnyside Farms, including Beverly and the girls of the HR department. They were always there for him and Amanda during his illness.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, Calif., with visitation time prior, starting at 3 p.m.
