Matthew J. Borchard passed away on Jan. 2, 2016 in Rosemount, Minn. Visitation will be held at the Celebration Church in Lakeville, Minn. on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 6 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Grave site services will be on Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 1 p.m. at the Calvary Cemetery located in Charles City. A time for food and fellowship will be held at the VFW in Charles City following the grave site services.

Matthew was born in Iowa City on Sept. 20, 2000. He was a freshman at Rosemount Senior High School.

Matthew will be sorely missed by his family and friends including his father, Jeff Borchard, his sister, Audrey both of Rosemount, Minn.; his mother, Shawna Tillman of Rock Island, Ill.; his grandparents, Carlene and Doug Wolf of Charles City, and Diana Cates and Richard Borchard of Iowa City; and great-grandmother, Arlene Chesnut of Charles City.
