Laura Jane ‘Laurie’ Jennison

Laura Jane “Laurie” Jennison was born on August 19, 1964 to Charles and Laura Janet (Sternberg) Jennison. Laurie spent forty plus years of her life at the Burling House in Charles City. Here is where she made friends with both the staff and residents. These special people would become a second family for Laurie.

Laurie loved listening to country music, special visits from animals, including baby kittens and watching movies. She enjoyed shopping trips and dinner out at McDonalds. She loved to receive balloons and flowers.

Survivors include her mother, Laura Janet Jennison of Riceville, Iowa, sister, Ellen Selvig of Riceville, brothers; Lloyd (Kim) Jennison of Colton, CA and Sam (Beverly) Jennison of McIntire, IA, six nieces; April Moore of Colton, CA, Mishell Knoes of Reading, IA, Samantha Jennison of Iowa Falls, IA, Jennifer Smith of Lime Springs, IA, Kate Dvorak of Riceville, and Melissa Hugel of Alta Vista along with numerous great nieces and nephews.

Laurie is preceded in death by her father, Charles, a brother-in-law, Tom Selvig and her grandparents; Harry and Bess Sternberg and Lloyd and Margaret Jennison.
A private family burial will take place at a later date. Lindstrom Funeral Home is assisting the family.
