Clifford Wiebke,  age 91 of Nashua, IA, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, at the Bartels Lutheran Home in Waverly.

Santa Claus is coming to town Nov. 30th in Charles City
Children will be able to talk with Santa Clause again this Christmas season at the Santa House at the center of Central Park in Charles City. Santa will available at the house from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30; 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7; and 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 14-15. Charley Western Trail trail stop nearly finished
A trail stop on the Charley Western Trail near the entrance to the Wildwood Golf Course in Charles City is nearly finished. Named The End of The Line trail stop because of its location where the former Charley Western Railroad ended, the project has been worked on by local biking enthusiasts and the Charles City trail Committee for several years. The most recent addition was the placement of a bench donated by Cambrex in memory of a former employee, Ellen Bengtson, who was a frequent user of the trail biking and walking.
